the design is inspired by a bronze belt plate of the egtved girl, who was buried in 1370 BC. the belt plate is supposedly a symbol of the sun, one of the most important elements in their religion at the time, and i thought it was a really powerful symbol.
so it's a combination of my own longing for the sun, mixed with the remains of a sun-worshipping, bronze age corpse.
